Money Loves Speed
My first coach used to say it constantly, and it's one of the principles that has shaped everything about how I run my business.
It sounds simple. But the more I've lived it, the more I believe it's one of the most important truths in business.
When you move fast, when you take an idea and act on it immediately instead of sitting in planning mode, you create momentum. You test faster, fail faster, refine faster, and learn faster. Making money in your business isn't a "they got lucky" sort of thing. It's a "they tested until it worked" sort of thing.
A new client recently told me she'd been sitting on the idea for a podcast for 6 months, but the need to "do it right" was stopping her from getting started.
My head nearly exploded. SIX MONTHS!
Holy cats, she could've recorded 24 weekly episodes in that time, and while yes, she would've started unpolished and cringe, she would be nearly an expert at it by now.
Freeze mode is costing you BIG TIME.
When you're stuck in your head, overthinking, waiting until everything is perfect and fully thought through, you create energetic gridlock.
Acting quickly doesn't mean being reckless or scattered. The speed that works is aligned speed, knowing yourself well enough to recognize when an idea is right, and then moving on it before the overthinking kicks in.
You don't have a crystal ball, and no amount of planning gives you the information that doing does. You can map it out, think it through, run every scenario in your head, and still be completely wrong about how it's going to land. The only way to find out is to put it out there.
So that's what I do. I feel an idea, I sense it's aligned, and I move. I figure it out as I go.
And here's what happens more than half the time: somewhere in the middle of executing it, I realize it's not quite the thing. The offer isn't right. The angle needs to shift. Someone else might call that failure. I call it data, and it's data I could never have gotten by thinking harder.
Speed isn't about being busy. It's about being willing to fuck around and find out. And the faster you're willing to do that, the faster the money follows.
The Problem With Leading With Your Mind
There's a deeper issue here though, and it's this: your mind is often not the right tool for making decisions.
The mind is incredible for processing, creating, communicating, but as a decision-making compass? It will frequently lead you the wrong way. It's too influenced by fear, by conditioning, by what you think you should do. It second-guesses. It catastrophizes. It talks you out of the very things that are most aligned for you.
This is exactly why I fell in love with Human Design. Because it gives you something the mind can't, a tangible, personalized strategy for how to make decisions and move through life in a way that's actually correct for you.
When you understand your strategy and how you're designed to make decisions, you start trusting yourself and that's when results start to compound quickly.
If you want to go deeper on this, I just dropped a brand new training inside my HD Insights channel on exactly how to use your Human Design strategy type in your business and life. It's the kind of thing that genuinely changes how you operate.
