Hey Reader,
Holy cats Batman! A lot has been happening this summer! Lots to catch you up on, so let's dive in.

| 01 · The mindset shift |
| The zone of genius problem |
I was on a podcast this week with my good friend Terry Weaver. We ended up talking about reaching the place in business where you no longer want to be everything for everyone.
Essentially reaching that point where you go from being a generalist to being a specialist. Which means turning away clients that aren't the perfect fit.
If you've read The Big Leap by Gay Hendricks, you know the concept of your "zone of genius." For those who haven't, your zone of genius is the thing you do better than almost anyone, and when you're doing it, you're in a flow state. It's different from your "zone of excellence," where you're genuinely great and people rely on you for it, but it's still not actually your gift.
The problem is, your zone of excellence may provide incredible success, financial reward, and recognition. Which creates a sense of comfort and security. So we tend to just stay in our zone of excellence, because going all in on our zone of genius carries risk.
However, when you operate out of your zone of excellence, over time, you sense that extra level of fulfillment and purpose seems to be lacking.
For a long time, my zone of excellence has been general business coaching. I am really good at it. I built a six figure coaching practice doing it. But when I'm really honest with myself, it's not my zone of genius.
My zone of genius is sales. I can identify the exact moment where your sales are won or lost. I have a gift for creating offers that people genuinely love to buy, creating simple customized sales systems, and helping my clients communicate the value of what they do clearly and confidently. Essentially, approaching sales in a fresh and energized way.

|
So here's what I'm asking for: help getting in front of the people who need this. Because I know there are a lot of business owners out there right now with sales problems.
So here's who I'm looking to work with:
|
- Small service based businesses with fewer than 10 team members
- Practitioners and providers who want simplicity in their sales process without compromising effectiveness
- Creatives and consultants who shy away from asking for money for their work, or feel they lack an easy sales process
- Individuals who have made sales because of their raw talent, charisma, and referrals, and are ready to put repeatable systems in place to supercharge their referrals and client retention
|
|
Since I've committed to going all in on this zone of genius, the offerings available to you have shifted too.
|
| Here are three ways we can currently work together 1:1: |

| This week's watch |
What if the reason sales feels awful isn't your script? It's your nervous system.
That's the question behind a talk I gave at The Thing Nashville called Wired to Sell: The Neuroscience Behind Ethical Persuasion, now up on YouTube. I break down the actual neuroscience happening in your brain (and your buyer's) during a sales conversation: why we freeze when it's time to ask for money, why "just be more confident" is useless advice, and what it actually takes to sell in a way that feels safe for both people at the table.
This isn't hype or hustle-culture sales talk. It's the biology of trust, status, and decision-making, and how to work with it instead of against it.
Give it a watch when you've got a few minutes this week. And if you want the actual word-for-word scripts built on everything in the talk, psychologically safe language for pricing, objections, and follow-up, that's exactly what Buylingo is for.

| 03 · Worth reading |
| Stop pitching. Start asking. |
Found a good read this week worth passing along. The short version: the fastest way to kill a deal is pitching before you fully understand the problem. The best discovery calls follow a rule where the prospect does most of the talking, not you. If you're doing most of the talking, you're pitching, not discovering.
That's the whole premise Buylingo is built around. Instead of handing you a script to recite, it helps you ask the questions that let your prospect arrive at the value on their own.

| 04 · Two communities I'm into |
| Worth your time |
|
I don't promote things I haven't personally looked at, so here are two I'm genuinely into right now.
|
AI Mavericks, run by my friend Austin Armstrong. If AI still feels like something everyone else figured out except you, this is your monthly unfair advantage: a done-for-you workflow every month (strategy, tool, swipe file, and a mini challenge so it actually gets implemented, not just saved in a folder). Members also get free access to a virtual AI conference next month with Russell Brunson, Jonathan Mast, and Molly Mahoney. It's $7/month right now before it moves to $59/month.

The Money Matrix. For the half of the money equation nobody talks about. You can have every strategy in the world, but if your relationship with money is broken, more money won't fix how it feels to have it. If you're already successful and it still doesn't feel like enough, this is worth a look.
